change of plans...

Okay so remember how I said I was moving to Germany? Yeah..ummm.. not gonna happen. After we had already sold my car, my dog and half of the contents of my house the Air Force decided that they were over manned at that base and we were no longer needed. To say I'm dissapointed would be an understatement. So for now I will have to tuck my dreams of traveling Europe away and hope that the opportunity arrises again at some point during his career.

In other news, I bought Mr.K this..



I'm probably crazy.. I know. But after wanting one since he was a teenager, to see the massive smile on his face was worth all the hours I will spend worrying about him.


The kids started school last week. Let me just say that I had no idea how much I REALLY missed the peace and quiet while they're at school. I love them dearly, but this momma needed a break from all the bickering, messes and thier friends in the house that come with Summer Break. As for pictures on the first day.. they were less than compliant. Believe it or not this was the best picture I got :(




And I even found time to make a few layouts. I really miss creating, but here lately I'm feeling uninspired. I think I need to pause on scapping for a little and do some painting or alter something. I love to scrap, but when I only do one craft for a long time it kills my mojo. Anyway, here's the layouts I got done.

So I've broken a record for myself here.. I haven't blogged in 5 months.. YIKES!! I've had alot of "life" going on and not a whole lot of crafty happening so there hasn't been much to share.... BUT, I have recently broken back into the paper and glue and it feel great!

My sweet friend Anne asked me if I would design for her awesome store {Paper Patch Crafts} How could I resist??!! The store is loaded with lots of yummy Prima, really cool Kaiser products and even some Little Yellow Bicycle. Here are a few things I've made so far..





And believe it or not I have more to share! But I'm way too tired and lazy tonight so it will have to wait till another time.

In other news, I got a gig teaching at my LSS!! I'm so excited and have my first class tomorrow night. Wish me luck that I don't say something stupid or break a tool..lol

hello 2010, you beautiful thing..

So I'm starting by blog off for the new year in total Stacey style, ALWAYS late.. lol My mother used to joke that I would be late for my funeral someday. I'm starting to believe her.

Let's just start off by saying 2009 was NOT my year. If it could have went wrong, it did. If it was supposed to be good, it wasn't. And if it should have remained the same, it didn't. It was one of those years where you just wanted to go back to bed till it was over. But in the true style of life, the bad always brings out the good. I've learned alot about myself this year. What I stand for, what I'm capable of and how I view the people I love the most all became crystal clear this past year. While 2009 was definetely not my year, it did set the stage for what appears to be a fabulous year ahead! So to 2009 I say thank you for lessons, but good riddens! And to 2010 I say hello, where will you take me?

And of course as a true scrapper, if you didn't scrap it, it didn't happen. So I made a page saying goodbye to 2009.







I hope you all have a year filled with promise and adventure!
