change of plans...

Okay so remember how I said I was moving to Germany? Yeah..ummm.. not gonna happen. After we had already sold my car, my dog and half of the contents of my house the Air Force decided that they were over manned at that base and we were no longer needed. To say I'm dissapointed would be an understatement. So for now I will have to tuck my dreams of traveling Europe away and hope that the opportunity arrises again at some point during his career.

In other news, I bought Mr.K this..



I'm probably crazy.. I know. But after wanting one since he was a teenager, to see the massive smile on his face was worth all the hours I will spend worrying about him.


The kids started school last week. Let me just say that I had no idea how much I REALLY missed the peace and quiet while they're at school. I love them dearly, but this momma needed a break from all the bickering, messes and thier friends in the house that come with Summer Break. As for pictures on the first day.. they were less than compliant. Believe it or not this was the best picture I got :(




And I even found time to make a few layouts. I really miss creating, but here lately I'm feeling uninspired. I think I need to pause on scapping for a little and do some painting or alter something. I love to scrap, but when I only do one craft for a long time it kills my mojo. Anyway, here's the layouts I got done.

moving!

There's exiting news at the Klug home right now. Mr.K got a call telling us that in November we're moving to... GERMANY!! Now to some of you it may seem a little odd that I would be this excited, but after 10 years of living in two states that I absolutely hated, this news is like winning the lottery! Plus it has always been a dream of mine to travel Europe and now it's a reality.

Right now my days are filled with googling every bit of information I can get my hands on and trying to learn to speak German (which by the way is ALOT harder than I thought it would be!)

So in 4 months my posts will be filled with images like these..

starting over..

The past few months of my life have been a whirlwind to say the least. Ups,downs and sideways so many things have changed. Thankfully most have been for the better. So many things have fallen to the wayside during these events. Unfortunately one of the major things has been my creativity. Art has always brought me comfort in times of trouble, but somehow I lost sight of that. Now that I'm getting my bearings back it's time to get back to me and the things I love. I've had alot of time to reflect and have made some major realizations of where I want to go and what I want to do in this life and I hope to share it all with you here on this blog. For over a year I used this blog to show my work, advertise for great places, but most of all I used it to appoligize for neglecting it. As you can all see, I've erased all of my posts. With a fresh outlook I figured it was time for a fresh blog start as well. From here on out I plan to bring you all as much inspiration, tutorials,tips and bits of my life as I can possibly muster. For those of you who take the time to still read, thank you. And for those of you who have suggestions for things you'd like to see, please share. No use in me just entertaining myself on here haha. So friends, here's to a new start and art filled days!
